Jasimuddin was born in 1990 in a lower middle-class family in Ananda Nagar Village under Rupsa Thana of Khulna District. Jasim’s position among the six brothers and two sisters was the fifth. His father was an Assistant Teacher of Shiali Secondary School, Rupsa, Khulna and mother was a housewife.
Immediately after passing the Master, he came to Dhaka for employment. Then, he joined in a job at Zarba Textile Mills Limited, Mawna, Sreepur, Gazipur in May 2017 as a Supervisor with BDT only 7,111. In the meantime, under the Skills for Employment and Investment Program (SEIP), operated by Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) he successfully completed two (02) -month duration Weaving Technology course, as a trainee of the 5th batch with the help of the Zarba Textile Mills authority. Since the course was arranged in combination with theoretical and practical, and conducted classes by several experienced trainers, so he can learn a lot through this course, which he never knew before. Apart from the end of the course, his self-confidence, deep concentration and skill towards work due to a lot of growth in comparison to the past, the Textile Mill authority are happy with his work and increased wages and other facilities as a prize. At present, earning a total of BDT 12,700 per month, including transport and medical allowances, with a salary of BDT 8,700 (basic). Apart from this, a living room has been provided free of charge. He says that SEIP’s contribution is undoubtedly behind all of these. He married two years ago. The wife lives with his parents in the village house. He sent monthly BDT 8,000 to the village every month for the cost of the family. His family is running better than before.
